For about the next five weeks I’ll be heavily involved in spending time with my daughter. Early tomorrow morning I fly to Oregon for a few days, there to partake of Fourth of July festivities with the young’un, and a couple of days later to share her sixth birthday with a planned party so epic as to necessitate it taking place in a park. (You may notice that in this post I’ve become rather partial to getting some wicked weekly alliteration and consonance homework out of the way. Whoa.) Then my daughter and I fly back here to good old Nebraska to hang out and have fun, together and with other family, for another 4 weeks.
I’m quite looking forward to it, as you might imagine. The thing is, dear readers, as if I haven’t been belligerent enough about blogging lately, I’m guessing this space will suffer similarly to the way it has been of late (no plethora of posts), if not downright blatantly boring. But who knows? Maybe the blogging bug will bite again during this upcoming period of my daughter’s happy company, and you’ll see some bright new blog posts crop up here like corn over the vast Nebraska landscape.
Wish me well and don’t wither in the summer heat, my friends, and let us see what this mid-summer brings.

Enjoy your summer, with your daughter can’t think of a better excuse to play hooky. That’s what I’m doing, haven’t had a vacation in years, so I’m hanging around hooking up with the grand kids, between their busy schedules. They are growing so fast must make time while I can.

Ah Yes, enjoy the time with your daughter. I can’t wait to read the yearns of your adventures, between the two of you.

I hope you have a great visit with your daughter… and that the mid-summer festivities bring blog inspiration.
